Be careful what you ask for…
You have heard that before, right?
Well, I was teaching a class last year, and at one of the breaks, I was looking for feedback. My FAVORITE comment of the entire week came from an older guy. He and his son were attending Educode—a week of training in Vegas. By Thursday, everyone was getting tired, and be careful what you ask for when you’re seeking feedback, because you might just get a hilarious response!
We were in a class talking about building codes, fire test standards, and firestop. Most people would call it a rather boring topic. This older guy gave me feedback when I asked for it (LOL):
“This is the first class all week where my son hasn’t had to poke me to wake me up!”
I love a compliment with a sprinkle of humor. This is what happens when a former kindergarten teacher starts training the AEC industry, and an older gentleman with a spark of humor chirps up when you ask for feedback.
If you have not joined us in Educode yet, be careful what you ask for because you’ll find yourself wide awake and engaged!
