Chair Fly Your Firestop: Preparing for Every Scenario

What if you taught your firestop installers to chair fly? They don’t need to imagine EVERY possible solution like fighter pilots do. Maybe they could have a firestop system for each penetration they know they will have. Then a plan if the annular space is within those parameters (plan 1) then plan 2 could be what they should do if the annular space is smaller. Plan 3 could be what to do if the annular space in the field exceeds the submitted detail they were planning to do. If you think this is too much work.. think about why fighter pilots chair fly. It’s a matter of life or death. well, if there were a fires, your installation could be a matter of life or death as well.

I’d love to hear how you could “chair fly” your firestop installations!
