Family Emergency Escape Plan: Crafting a Comprehensive Plan

This weekend, I had the opportunity to talk to my local girl scout troop about creating a family emergency escape plan. Having a well-designed emergency escape plan is crucial for keeping your loved ones safe in case of a crisis. The Red Cross recommends including at least two exits (even out a window), a single meeting point safe away from the house, and closing doors behind you as you exit. This allows first responders to quickly determine if anyone is still inside and take appropriate action.
