Staying in touch

I love those quick little calls from people who have been in a class or someone I worked with ages ago when they send a quick photo to ask a question or just let me know “hey, I saw firestop and thought of you.” It doesn’t matter if its good firestop or bad firestop or even “what they heck were they thinking?” kinda firestop.  

This week I got a call from John and he sent me this picture.  

Fire rated ceiling grids?  No, even better, Firestopped penetrations through fire rated ceiling grids.  I’m not aware of any listed details through fire rated drop ceiling.   To all my firestop reps out there, what do you say about this if they used your product?
